La Paz, on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula on the Sea of Cortez, seems to have the perfect combination of the best of Mexico’s most popular spots, including Cancun, all wrapped up in a tranquil, not-too-crowded, just-right package. It seems fitting, given that the name of this city means “peace.” Water lovers, whether they prefer to go under the sea with a snorkel or play on the beaches, have plenty of activities to choose from in sunny La Paz. After all, Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez “the world’s aquarium.”
